Big Boy

Evan is getting so big. I can't believe how he is interacting with everyone, smiling, laughing and playing. He loves to grab anything he can...especially my nose. He just goes to town trying to catch the things on his mobile and toy bars. He is four months old now and sweet as can be.

Christmas

This has been one of our most eventful Christmas seasons yet. We ended up buying a house, painting the entire thing and moving in right before Christmas. (not to mention we did all of that with a really sick toddler and newborn...we've lost our minds) The good news is that we are now mostly unpacked and ready to start the new year in our own place in Frisco:) We had a great Christmas with Jed's family here in Plano. What fun it has been to watch Haley and her cousin Moses play. They are so cute and really starting to enjoy each other. With 13 people, four white fluffy dogs and constant energy, the kids were in heaven. Haley finally received a camera of her own so I'm sure I'll be posting her pics soon. Watch out world, Haley is about to capture it all!

Thanksgiving

I am just now catching up from Thanksgiving. I may not be blogging but I am taking tons of pictures that just sit inside my camera. It isn't easy to help those little pictures out and onto the web. But, before we move this week I figured I better post a quick update. We purchased a house on Friday and are trying to move by the end of this week. Crazy I know, but I really want to be in by Christmas. Everyone is laughing about my overly organized approach to a big move, but hopefully, I will be the one smiling in the end when we're all moved in!

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving. We had a busy week with time at my sister's with baby Max and with the Roseberry gang in Plano. Whew. The picture of Evan in the bouncy with the rest of the family behind was taken by Haley. She keeps saying all that she wants for Christmas is a camera. We know why. How does she take such good pics at 2? I'll never know:)

Leaves

I never knew what I was missing in the fall until I lived in Pittsburgh. Now, I yearn to see leaves turn colors instead of just dying and falling off trees in Dallas. Haley however, could care less about the leaf colors. She just wants to see mass quantities on the ground. She almost enjoys the raking as much as the jumping... mainly because she might get dirty. Clearly she is going to have to adjust to life with a boy. Evan is getting so big that Haley can barely hold onto him but managed to hold him up in her throne of leaves!

Trip to the Zoo

Even though it has been a warm fall, it is has been wonderful season to get out and about. Today we went to the zoo with Hannah and spent the morning as animal spectators. The otters and penguins were a big hit as well as the wagon ride around the zoo. I know we need to take advantage of these beautiful days while they last.

Park Play Date

Just had to post these adorable pictures of Haley and Ty at the park. It was their first play date and they had so much fun together. I'm not sure Haley is going to be able to keep up with all these sweet boys in her life. So fun!

Fall Festivals

You can't beat a great fall festival to wear everyone out. It is always worth the journey whether it is an hour long car ride to the pumpkin patch or late night outing to the church's carnival. The sugar high will surely carry everyone home wide awake! What fun we had celebrating fall with our friends. Haley couldn't have had anymore fun with her two girlfriends Hannah and Ainsley. I can't even imagine our lives without them. The girls twirled, sang, played and laughed with delight everywhere we went. The two's might be tough, but when the girls are loving life together I can't help but wish we would all express our joy with such enthusiasm.

Cousins Could be Twins

No, they don't look like they are related but they are actually cousins born two days a part. Aren't they adorable?! How much fun are these to little guys going to have as they grow up together...only in different cities. Whenever we connect though, they are going to have a ball. It was precious to see them smiling at each other and checking the other one out. Haley got in on the action too, but mostly as photographer. She took the picture of the boys holding hands. How sweet are they.

Sweet Smiles

You know it is all worth it when you see those first smiles. Amazing what a smile can do to make the long nights and early mornings disappear. I never have my camera handy when Evan is smiling, but we caught a little grimace on film today. Once Haley grabbed onto the swing though, he didn't know what to think. Nothing like the smile of a proud big sis. What joy is found in the smile of a child!

Cowgirl Country

Its official…Haley is a country girl at heart. She made her first solo road trip up to Bebe & Papa’s house in Oklahoma for nine days and loved every minute of it! She was able to do all the things a city girl doesn’t get a chance to do. Haley rode her favorite horse, Buck, all by herself (to her mother’s chagrin), watched turkeys in a nearby field from the front seat of Papa’s pick-up truck (her new favorite mode of transportation) and requested to visit the pig farms (but Papa & Bebe had to save something for the next visit). What a big girl Haley is becoming and what a joy to watch her ride happily off into the sunset with her grandparents and know that she’ll have the time of her life.

One Month Old

Evan is officially one month old weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz and measuring 21 and 1/2 inches long. What a big guy! Haley still loves being a big sis and thinks it is great fun to take pictures with her little brother whom she things is “so cute”.

Matching My Pony

Today was a big day. Haley, Daddy & her friend Tucker were in the Roof Dog Run. Dad pushed the kids in the double jogging stroller and they had a blast. Apparently it was pretty bright outside. After a morning out with her new buddy, Haley wanted to match her pony with a side-pony tail. Hey, we'll take whatever hair accessories we can get. On another note, one of Haley's new past-times includes taking pictures with our camera. She calls the last one, "Evan Crying":)

Fall is Here

Even though you wouldn't know it by stepping foot out the front door, it is officially fall. So, to kick off the season, we put on our cowboy get-up and set out on an adventure to the Farmer's Market. Even though the farm animals were mysteriously missing (we aren't exactly sure how the petting zoo and pony rides disappeared overnight) we enjoyed picking out some pumpkins & fresh veggies for the coming week.

New Addition

In an effort to keep up with the family and help you all keep up with us, we are finally blogging. With the birth of little Evan Reay Roseberry on August 29th we are now a happy, healthy family of four! Things are a bit crazy with 2 kids... it is about 80% about Haley who is 2 1/2 and full of energy and 20% about Evan who just needs to sleep, eat and poop. Haley loves being a big sister and is happy to help out in any way that she can (which usually involves helping me get him to sleep so I can chase her again). What a joy to spend the day & night with such an amazing family:)
