More Pictures

Our friend since the girls were 5 months old, Ainsley, turned 4. They are sweet friends:) You couldn't miss Evan's natural after nap mo hawk or him eating crayons. When will the little guy develop a more sophisticated palette for dining?

So much to say & do

The kids have had a big day. Haley was invited to go see Sesame Street Live today with some friends and had a blast. What a great gift!

Evan and I hit the road like usual and headed up to story time at the library. Evan is a bit of a live wire and you never know what to expect when you go to the library with him. Today, he was enthusiastically greeting everyone, even those who didn't particularly want a greeting. He was soooo excited about story time that he was jumping up and down and waving at everyone from his place in the crowd. As the librarians popped the picture on the overhead with a train on it to show we were going to be reading books about things that go, Evan jumped up and waved his hands in the air and said, "choo, choo, choo, choo". "Yes, we are reading about trains and I know you will all be as excited as that little boy" the librarian said as she pointed at Evan. He was hysterical!

One gene that apparently dominates our household is the one that determines how enthusiastic you are. We have TONS of passion, excitement and enthusiasm for every day life. I hope we never lose sight of the blessing it is to be filled with joy throughout our days. I will be so sad if my kids ever lose this kind of passion for life and pray that I can encourage them to live out loud and full of joy each day:)

PS- Thankfully the pink cowboy hat stayed at home today:) Although, both boys in our house look great in pink.

Just can't decide

OK, I keep changing my blog wallpaper. I just can't make up my mind. I have to live with it for a few days. But, with facebook, who even checks blogs these days anyway:) Hmmm. Times are always changing.

The Lord's Prayer

I didn't even know that she knew the Lord's Prayer until she knelt down beside me during communion today and said it right along with everyone else. So wonderful!

Happy 4th Birthday Haley

Newborn Haley

1st Birthday
2nd Birthday

3 Year old Haley

4th Birthday

Haley is now a fabulous four year old. She is such a joy and delight! I can't imagine our lives without her. She is full of energy, laughter and love. I am continually amazed by the way that she shows kindness and gentleness with friends and family (except for when Evan is really bothering her). She also has such a sweet heart and understanding of the Lord. We were in the car picking up cinnamon rolls as her Birthday breakfast treat, when we looked n the cloudy sky and saw a rainbow. Haley exclaimed, "Look, God sent me a rainbow on my Birthday...how did he know?" So sweet. All she wanted to do all day was splash in some puddles left by the rain. It wasn't easy to find any, but we managed to find just enough water to make a Birthday girl's day great! We love you Haley Ann and praise God for the gift you are to us on your Birthday!

Can you say "Fancy Nancy"?

Haley decided to dress up like Fancy Nancy today and it was so funny. She was walking around waving her hands and tapping her toes. She even convinced Evan to dress up too. They were a hoot!

Princess Party

We had a small Princess Party for Haley's 4th Birthday yesterday. Haley had a ball and so did the other little girls. The made bracelets, chariot magnets, color pages, played pin the crown on Cinderella and even had a surprise visit and story time from Snow White. It was so precious. The girls were all dressed in their princess best covered in jewels, crowns and glitter. I think they had the most fun when Haley suggested they play Ring-Around-the-Rosie.

Bebe and Jed had the flu so we are going to have another celebration in a few days when everyone is well. Thank you so much Gigi and Gdaddy for all the awesome decorations and hosting us so that we could celebrate in royal style. We are looking forward to year number 4!

Fairy Dust

I am certain if we could watch fairies dance, they would look just like this!

Mr. Clean

Seriously, does he play with anything but kitchen appliances, tools and vacuums? He is going to be a clean freak when he grows up....just like his dad:) He is so funny with his vacuum and with everything all day long. Evan has such a great sense of humor and really enjoys life. When you ask him a question like, "do you want to go to the park?" he doesn't just say "yes". He says, "YEAH!" with great enthusiasm. One thing we don't lack at our house...passion.

Preparing for the big day

Haley is always dressing up as a princess these days. Every Since Disney World, she has been a princess whenever she has time to throw on the gown. Although, when she saw some girls her age dressed up as princesses at Disney World, but was without her gown, she was quick to tell the girls that she was a princess too! Indeed. She is a princess...more importantly a royal princess and child of God:)

Stylish

Today we were getting in the car and Haley asked, "How do I look?" I think I replied, "cute". She then said, "Am I stylish?" Seriously, do I say that. Oh dear! She cracks me up.

Haley will be 4 years old in one week and I feel like she's going on 13 these days. Thankfully she is still in dreamland with all the princess girls and would really rather sport a cheesy princess shirt with match light up princess shoes over something that I would consider stylish any day!

She is even trying to convince Evan to be a prince, even though she has finally moved on from trying to make him her prince. Instead she tells everyone that she is going to marry Jackson or Tucker....depending on the day. I think either would make a nice match:)

Evan is still Mr. Stepstool and carries around a stepstool wherever he goes, just in case something might be out of his reach. Haley comments, "everything is a stepstool" as well. It is true. The mickey plane is a stepstool....even though it has wheels. The heater is a stepstool....even though it is completely dangerous. We can't win. Even if I think I've hidden all potential stepstools, he makes his own. Evan is also fasinated with all things having to do with the kitchen. If he is not a chef one day, I will be surprised. He loves my blender, coffee maker, hot pads, oven mitts, you name it. He even likes to mop. How about that for a little homemaker.
