The kids have had a big day. Haley was invited to go see Sesame Street Live today with some friends and had a blast. What a great gift!
Evan and I hit the road like usual and headed up to story time at the library. Evan is a bit of a live wire and you never know what to expect when you go to the library with him. Today, he was enthusiastically greeting everyone, even those who didn't particularly want a greeting. He was soooo excited about story time that he was jumping up and down and waving at everyone from his place in the crowd. As the librarians popped the picture on the overhead with a train on it to show we were going to be reading books about things that go, Evan jumped up and waved his hands in the air and said, "choo, choo, choo, choo". "Yes, we are reading about trains and I know you will all be as excited as that little boy" the librarian said as she pointed at Evan. He was hysterical!
One gene that apparently dominates our household is the one that determines how enthusiastic you are. We have TONS of passion, excitement and enthusiasm for every day life. I hope we never lose sight of the blessing it is to be filled with joy throughout our days. I will be so sad if my kids ever lose this kind of passion for life and pray that I can encourage them to live out loud and full of joy each day:)
PS- Thankfully the pink cowboy hat stayed at home today:) Although, both boys in our house look great in pink.
