Jed was helping our good friend and now neighbor, Dustin, move into their new house on Friday when Dustin got pinned between the moving truck and their new house and was rushed to the ER here in Plano. He was under observation all night and then he had surgery this morning and the doctors discovered that his pancreas was severed in two by the force of the impact. Needless to say, he's in a lot of pain and there will most likely be two more surgeries to help repair his pancreas. His road to recovery will be a long one with the possibility of being on lifelong medication to help his pancreas perform its jobs.
Kate and Dustin are feeling all the love and support of friends and family but I covet all your prayers.
Updates on their blog:

Please pray:
-that God helps match up the right doctors for Dustin's needs
-that Dustin's doctors have wisdom and skill as they operate on Dustin again in the next couple of days
-that God provides peace for Dustin and Kate throughout the days and nights while they are in the hospital
-that little Nora, their 10 month old, would feel love and be settled at her grandparents
-for Kate's parents to know how to love and comfort Nora while her parents are away
-FOR DIVINE HEALING for all of Dustin's injuries

Thanks so much for posting this! It means more to me than you know. Also thanks for coordinating unpacking of boxes at my house this afternoon. That is a huge help. Please let me know who all helped so that I can thank each person.
Love you!
kate
Yes, Kate let me know what had happened. We were vacationing in Florida and only found out about it yesterday. Jonathan and I will keep Dustin, Kate and Nora in our immediate prayers.
Thanks for helping to keep everyone up to date!
Melanie
