Family Time

We have had such a busy week. I can't believe it has been only one week since Easter because so much has happened. My grandfather's wife Vana passes away after years of battling cancer off and on. She got a staff infection and Jed was able to give last rites and bless her. We had a lovely service at the church and Haley has been so sweet to think of her this week. She even made Papa Bean a painting to cheer him up. My cousins were in town and it is always an amazing time to have all the family together.

Easter was unusual because we went to the Saturday night service then started picking family up at the airport and such on Sunday and Monday. Haley was telling everyone, "Happy Easter, Jesus is Risen!" It was so awesome to see her get excited about the Risen Savior at Easter and not just hunting Easter eggs. Evan, was just excited in general:)

Jed also just drove from Seattle with his brother, Uncle Randy, and we are so blessed to have him here in town with us. Evan LOVES him and will run past us to get to him...clinging to his legs. It is adorable to see them playing together. Randy said he has never seen so much energy packed into one little guy. Crazy over here!

The kids are getting so big it is hard to imagine that Haley was ever Evan's size and that Evan was ever a baby. When Haley is up for dealing with Evan's energy, they have a blast together chasing each other and laughing. But, when Haley just wants to play quietly with her toys, Evan is the ultimate pest and they fight like cats and dogs. As Evan gets more words and uses his hands less to demonstrate his emotions, maybe the tide will turn and they can get along.

Thankfully, I know they love each other and hopefully God will give me direction and wisdom so that I will be able to pour into each of their unique needs!
