Growing Up

Tonight Haley picks up a "prayer cube" on our table (it is a dice that you roll and the side that lands facing up has a dinner prayer on it...shaking things up at the Roseberry house). She reads one of the prayers out loud to me and declares what a great reader she is. Then she says, "Mom I am really growing up. I like it!"

She is really growing up. She is reading, she is writing, she is riding her bike, she is losing teeth, she is bathing herself, she is getting herself up and dressed every morning, she is making her bed. How did this all happen so fast? I remember when I thought the day would never come that she would be so independent.

Haley, you are growing up and we couldn't be any more thankful to be a part of it.

Their independence is both a wonderful thing and a bittersweet thing. Makes you proud with a tiny tear in your eye. :)

Do you mind sharing 1 (or more) of the prayers on your prayer cube? I think Kai would LOVE that! TIA!

Growing up into a beautiful little lady, inside and out, just like her momma :)
