Oklahoma is OK

I have the kids with me at my parents house for almost two weeks and we are having a blast in Oklahoma. After growing up in the middle of nowhere, I would have never known that there would be so much for my kids to do in the country. Boy was I wrong!

The first week has been packed. Today, Papa woke Haley up before 7am (I know, a cardinal sin in the world of sleep-deprived parents) to take her out in her favorite pick-up truck to go look for deer and turkeys. S-U-C-C-E-S-S. She and Papa found a ton of deer and only one turkey...but from the front seat of the truck, Haley could see it all.

Then, after a playdate with Emory and Arrington in their super fun playhouse and a nap, we were back out with Papa for Haley's first flight in Bobby bonanza. I sat in the back seat with Haley and with headsets and all we set off for our first little trip in the air. Haley seemed to really enjoy the flight. She couldn't quite see out of her window and kept asking us to tell her what we could all see. It was a warm day and a pretty bumpy flight, but Haley never complained. I think we've got a flier on our hands.

Evan is having a good time too. Poor little guy, he is trying soooo hard to crawl and spends most of the day eternally frustrated because he can't quite figure out how to move forward. We've all witnessed at least one or two crawls in the right direction, but Evan won't be satisfied until he can really go. We are watching every day to see this guy catch Haley any minute.
