Today the roads looked like an ice skating rink so school was closed and we played all day. We started out with play doh, transformed the entire living room into a tent then spent some time working on an art project. We are topping the night off with a movie. Perfect snow day!
This is Haley's first canvas to paint and hang in the house. We got the idea from another blogger (http://meetthedubiens.blogspot.com). She has awesome craft and food ideas. We thought since we had the time and supplies, we'd try one of the projects out.
It is awesome. We used contact paper to cut out an "r" then pressed it firmly on the canvas. Haley used blue and green water colors to paint the rest of the canvas. Then, we removed the "r" and hung it in the bathroom. I have been needing some new artwork in there!
She was so proud and we had so much fun drinking our hot cocoa and snuggling together today.
